I just got home around midnight and boy am I tired. The house feels so quiet right now because Java and Zoe are still at my parents' home. I'm picking them up tomorrow in Katy. I also plan to visit my family and two of my close friends from high school, plus do a little shopping at Last Call (it's the last day to take 25% off your entire purchase!!!) while Philip is out surfing.
Anyway, this trip has been pretty much amazing. Philip, his sister, and I were able to do so many things:
Anyway, this trip has been pretty much amazing. Philip, his sister, and I were able to do so many things:
- Eat at both of our favorite Indian restaurants here (it's going to be our new tradition)
- Chow down at Aw Shucks (so crowded but sooo goooood)
- See Star Trek (it was alright for me...the guy who plays Kirk is pretty cute)
- Margaritas, Lychee martinis, White Russians, Blue Moons
- Try out frozen custard
- Check out Allen outlet; the most satisfying part was buying these little frozen ice treats
- Grocery shopping at Central Market = SO FUN. NEED MORE WATERMELON TWIZZLER THINGS.
Cannot wait 'til she comes to Houston again!
You may all have seen pictures of my trip to visit Judy, Nini, and Hanh on their pages and finally I am posting mine! I had a fantastic time meeting these three fabulous ladies! They are so down-to-earth, sweet, and of course...STYLISH! I also really appreciate them showing Philip and I around! We had such a great time and would love to be able to see them again soon :)
We started out our day at 4510. Needless to say, this is my new favorite boutique. Ever since Mix Modern has closed in Houston, I cannot find any place that carries Margiela, Rick Owens, or has even heard of Comme Des Garcons. So aggravating, but true. The ladies at 4510 are sweethearts and we had fun shopping around. I ended up coming back here again Tuesday to shop a little bit more and look at their pre-sale items.
The weather was very accommodating that day so we all decided it would be a good idea to eat outside at Taco Diner. We walked around a bit first though to take pictures. Everyone whipped out their amazingly advanced cameras. Note to self: I totally need to bring my camera to the 21st blogging century (still love the camera you gave me very much Philip!! Lol :P). Here are a bunch of pictures of us having fun! I apologize if the image loading is heavy.

Judy in her amazing jumpsuit with vintage elephant belt; Hanh is so cute taking pictures!

Judy taking a photo and Nini working her camera

Us four in front of Taco Diner

Candid shot of us! Wow, I look so perplexed. Lol.

Haha we were all staring at Homer, the pup next door. You can see him on Judy and Hanh's page!

Pretty shoes! My Alaias, Nini's YSLs, Hanh's Giuseppes, and Judy's Givenchys. I am totally wanting all of their shoes (I have no black shoes; my only pair were destroyed by Zoe)

Hanh's special edition Giuseppe Zanottis. Signed and marked #113 out of 200 produced!!

Hanh and Nini! Love how they are some how always matching: grey tops, black jeans, and Givenchy bags. Too cute!

Photographer for the day: Philip! Thanks :)

Yummy yummy food!

Tasty salads!

Hanh bought me a candle! It smells wonderful!!!
Afterwards, we all headed out to Ahab Bowen. Such a cute little vintage place. I must come here again. We all found some amazing things. Just stay tune for all of our goodies! I ended up with two Burberry inspired spike necklaces, an intense ginormous bolero, and a black jumpsuit that reminds me of Dynasty. Cannot wait to see everyone's fun things on/in an outfit!
My trip ended with a shopping trip at Barney's. It's such a shame Houston only has a Co-op (I know, I totally bash Houston too much..I was born and raised here in H-town, but Dallas is my ideal city!). I ended up purchasing a couple things. After Judy told me about how comfortable her Stella McCartney mesh sandals were, I knew I had to have them. They just look so darn cute on your feet! Only situation is:

I'm leaning towards black just because I have no black shoes (seriously!). But the nude is such a pretty nude!!!!!!! If I can have both that would be magical :)
And ooooooohhh PS-

Okay, it's 3am and I am border line sleep blogging. I'm signing out for now; I will update later if I forgot anything! Good night!!

Just discovered your blog - LOVE your shoes! The zipper on the booties makes them sooo wonderful. I'm also jealous of those Ann Demeulemeesters!! I would go with black for the Stella McCartney mesh shoes.
All of you look wonderful. What a fun trip! I think the Stellas are hot in both colours :) Can't go wrong with either one.
Hello Amee! I am Vasilisa. Yesterday I found your blog and have read it all, I really enjoy reading your posts. I like your style! I’m also fond of fashion and love shopping, now you inspire me )) I read that you took a dog from SPCA and realized that I often watch “Animal Cops” TV program on Animal Planet, they show life of Houston SPCA. I love this program and try not to miss. So, I was very glad to know you found your new friend in there. Good luck to you and Hello from far Moscow, Russia. Have a nice day!
Ooh! SO much fabulousness in the one post! I'm lusting after those Stella's too, in the nude mesh (with perspex heel), so obviously, I'm leaning towards the nude, but if you don't have black shoes, these are hot in either ;)
You girls all look gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!
And am SO jealous of the Ann D's! :)
Sounds like we both had a great shopping trip & blogger meet-up! :)
xx
I love the black Stella heels! Looks like you guys had a blast of a time....did you get the Ann.Ds? Tres envious! :)
you all look fabulous! i think my favorite picture is the one on the bench where you are all looking at homer.
the taco diner sounds and looks delicious!
looks like you had an amazing time! I love the wonderful array of shoes on show :) the stella mccartneys are a definite classic but I wouldn't be able to decide either! leaning towards the black, just because I love black shoes. love your blog xoxo
It's been fun reading about your get together on everyone's blog! I live in Dallas and I can agree with you that Houston is pretty dull when it comes to shopping. I love your Ann D's! I want a pair so bad, but it's never going to happen. :( Go for the black Stellas!
Have a great day!
Hi Amee- It was so nice meeting you and Philip. I had a blast with you two. We need to meet up again when Hanh and I come down to Houston for crawfish :)...
The Ann Demeulemeester lace up boots is 2d4. You're so lucky to have it because its sold out everywhere now!!!!
Happy Wednesday and have fun visiting your family in Kathy.

Hi Amee!
I enjoyed so much reading your post and seeing all your fabulous
photos.
You truly seemed to have a wonderful time! YOU LUCKY GIRL ;)
LOVE ALSO YOUR ANN D´s!!! They look so enchanted in the natural color!!!
HAPPY SUNNY & JOYFUL WEEK!!!
wow, what a meetup. it was fun reading all 4 versions. hehehe... love the nude ones!
Hi Amee,
Thanks for your visit & comment on my blog :) guess what? i finally found the green scarf (not exactly but something almost similar to it) will do a picture post on this soon.
oh ya, your trip to Dallas! i enjoyed reading your post on this. You all do looked great and i love your trip soo much! As if i am there too :D Wow what a fruitful trip..
As for your Stella delimma, i would propose to go for the black one. it looks more special / outstanding and net-ish where you can actually see through your feet while wearing them due to the contradicting tones. The nude one is not too bad though, except that the color i'm afraid that they'll sink with the color of our skin. Unless we are black, then it will look very much better in them. Anyway, since you have got no black shoes, why not? It would be a great investment & collection. :)
Hi Amee,
You the Fabulous Four are so stylish! I have the black mesh Stellas, and they are comfy like Judy said. I think the black will look great on you. The pinkish nude is also very nice, but they might not be as eye-catching as the black.
Anyways, love you new Ann D! I almost got the brown ones, too, but they were sold out in my size. Anyways, can't wait for more of your posts.

Hi Amee,
I had so much fun on that day. You are sweetheart. I love your Ann D boots very much! xoxo
Hanh,

Just ran across your blog via Judy's. You girls look amazing in these pics! Everyone is so stylish in their own way. I'm so excited to keep finding people in Houston who love fashion. This city can be pretty boring, style-wise, so it's nice to come across the handful of people who pay attention to what they wear!
As for the Stella's, both are hot! I probably would have gone with the black as well, but the moment the nudes go on sale....
And LOVING the Ann D boots! So jealous!
Maybe we'll run across each other in Houston some time?

i'd get the nude ones just b/c they're so different - you rarely ever see nude mesh! at the same time, you did say you don't have any black shoes... just get both. =)
and love the Ann D's! Such a buttery color!
OMG OMG....AMEE...did u really got them? NO way, that is def. my next purchase! Dying Dying for them...that is all I can think of....Ann D's!!!! are they comfortable?????????? OMG, U guys look amazing together!~

HI Amee--I think I liked your photos best of all. That was so much fun. You didn't tell us you got the Ann D.'s--was that later? (sneak) Regarding the Stellas--I have to say go with the black first , and see if the nude goes to like 60% off. The black go with absolutely everything. I don't think there is one outfit in my closet that doesn't look good with those black Stellas. We are leaving for NY this afternoon. So glad we got to meet you guys--tell Phillip hello! judy
looks like loads of fun! i love the nude stellas...! and your alaia's are TDF!

Fab shoes!!! I think both Stellas are gorgeous, but if you don't have black shoes, then I'd go for black. They'd go with everything!!
